Ice Festival here we come...

Am officially a LOON... or maybe just doing absolutely the right thing. Bear in mind I got back to QD yesterday, and I was VAGUELY contemplating braving sub 30degrees Harbin next weekend to see the famous ice sculptures IF I found a cheap flight. Well research showed that the festival finishes this Sunday, so about an hour ago I booked to go up there tomorrow, completely on the spot... I did manage to get a really cheap flight one way, and I don't want to talk about the ticket coming back.

Incredibly excited, and at the same time petrified by my lack of 'duck feather' thermals... but hopefully a large amount of layers and me brimming with excitement will keep me warm until I get back to comparatively sub-tropical Qingdao on Monday. I also hear you can go and watch live animals being fed to Siberian Tigers.
