Not all blog entries should be bright and bubbly!

For the record only having one eye was a thoroughly depressing and exhuasting experience - not to be repeated, but in a perverse way worth trying once just to realise how incredibly useful it is to have both and how precious they are. Probably something most people don't need to poke one out for to realise! But hey, it's me we're talking about.

Thankfully I now have two. That said I vow never ever ever again to bite my nails answer my phone and hold a protracting pencil in my hand at the same time. (Yes, I almost took out the other one yesterday).

As for other news at this end... studies are ticking along... songs are starting to make sense without having seen the lyrics before hand... some news stories are clicking... newspaper articles no longer seem like an insurmountable task... the weather warmed up for a couple of days... and my dumb-ass housemate locked himself out last night. He, his mate, and his girlfriend were calling my mobile non-stop until they woke me up at 11:45 to go and let him in... at that point my Chinese fourished into life with phrases as deft as "Ni Hao... I know... Bye!" and "You son-of-a-bitch, next time you'll either have to wait outside til dawn or I'll kill you, you choose". I can't guarantee my grammar was spot on.

On a brighter note, I just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I'll see any of you who are still bothering to read this blog in 2006!
